Right now, it's -12. Snow just stopped. What can I hear outside? The ice cream van.
Either that or it's a regular van playing a tune with would be just as awesomely weird.

As the mother of five I can just say. Ice cream works every season. We just eat it indoors now. And yes its weird here but I do hope we ( the swedes) can make you feel more welcome. I lived in the States a couple of years and it was confusing and fun. I never did figure out how american football worked or why there is sugar in everything. That didnt matter one bit though since everyone I met made me feel so welcome and spent hours explaining all the stuff I found confusing. I would so like you to feel as welcome here as i did in the US. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help if and when you need it.
I just had to comment because just last Wednesday I hear the ice cream truck go by my apartment!! I was so shocked, at first I didn't consider it could even actually be an ice cream truck. My sambo showed me out the window and I stood there shocked for about 3 minutes. Next time, I'm running down to buy some!
As an icecream addict I never understood why some people found me odd when wanting icecream in winter... I can have icecream anywhere anytime. Yummie! :)
I can understand eating ice cream in winter in general, but somehow the tune of an ice cream truck is just so summer/beach/sun that it blows my mind to look out the window and see it skidding to reverse in snow outside my building... just all wrong!
Whoever is wrapping up to go outside -- it's literally hard to describe just how cold it is right now -- to get themselves a snow cone or whatever... I need to introduce those people to hot chocolate!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I can't imagine a frozen sea. The closest to that I've seen is the frozen Great Lakes. Stay cozy! Beth
Mmmm, ice cream...
The title of your post totally caught my eye. I don't even know any Swedes but now I will forever associate the words weird and Swedes together! :)
