Friendship

Talked to Eric for real today. Man he is a truly good guy. Feels good to remember they're out there, you know? Couldn't get in to working out, and said I was just going to go home but he suggested coffee. Fika. So we fika-ed. ;-) Told him what's going on and he was just so great. A real friend, maybe. He listened and didn't judge or comment, just was there for me and told me I deserve better. Then he walked me home and hugged me and I felt relaxed and good and I know I know I don't need to be getting into anything else (I was joking about the sorbet – bad idea) but if there is something really between us then it will wait until I'm ready. Assuming Flirt Girl doesn't snap it up first of course. I don't need to be thinking about this right now. He's a friend, that's what's important.

I changed the locks again. I should ask those guys to give me a loyalty card.

Awww, that's so great! See, you found someone to talk to, someone understanding and you get the male perspective for free. I knew Eric is cool. ;)
And I think you made the right decision.

PS: If you were interpreting Eric's body language right, FlirtGirl has no chance anyway. So you have time to get a clear head.

I sometimes read your blog and just caught up on the past month's entries last night. I know you don't report every little thing going on in your life, and I'm certain there's a whole lot more going on in your marriage than you've shared. However. I remember reading some comments a while back from posters who suggested your husband was having an affair, and you commented back that they didn't know what they were talking about, how it was unfair, etc. Is it possible that this idea got lodged in your head and now you're making real-life, permanent decisions based on offhanded comments from random internet people? I mean do you actually have physical evidence that your husband is cheating on you? Have you actually had heart-to-heart conversations about your relationship, or are you just reacting to suspicions and something another person is saying in her blog (and you're not even certain who she's talking about...)

I just wanted to throw that out there. You'll do what's best for you but please make sure you're not acting hastily when what you're doing will affect you as well as someone you must've loved very deeply. Anyone can anonymously comment "you go girl" or "throw the bastard out", etc, but you're going to have to live with the consequences of your actions. Be sure you're not letting your ego or your pride make the situation worse.

I mean all this in the spirit of kindness, truly. Not trying to criticize.

I don't know who would think it's cool or funny or sinister or whatever to comment weird cryptic stuff under a weird moniker like 'You Know' but I really don't appreciate it, and I'm not feeding the troll by responding further than that K?
